Mitigation Strategies in Place

Mitigation Strategies in Place
  • All students and staff are required to wear a mask throughout the school day. Mask will be removed to eat/drink.
  • Class sizes will be small. Most classrooms can accommodate 10-12 students socially distanced.
  • Students will transition between classes by gender. This reduces the number of students moving in our hallways at one time.
  • Our custodial staff disinfects the building daily and will disinfect bathroom spaces multiple times throughout the day.
  • Students will not use bathrooms during transition times. Students will sign out to leave the classroom and sign back in once they return. This will assist with contact tracing if ever needed.
  • Traditional water fountains will not be used. Water bottle dispensers are being installed. Students are encouraged to bring their own water bottle.
  • Each classroom is equipped with sanitizer and disinfectant wipes.
  • Lockers will not be used. Students will keep their bookbag and belongings at their desks.
  • Breakfast will be available for students to pick up as they enter the building. This reduces movement throughout the building.
  • Lunch will be to go as we begin the hybrid model. Students will eat in the classroom. If we can determine that it is safe for students to eat lunch in the cafeteria, we may allow a reduced number of classes to eat in the cafeteria.
  • Dismissal will be staggered to reduce the number of students moving at one time.
  • A signed parent acknowledgment form is required for all hybrid students.
  • No guests will be allowed to enter the building beyond the lobby.
  • All guests will continue to be screened by answering Covid symptom questions and temperature checks.
  • All staff members self-screen daily.
