Personalize & Order Your Yearbook Now!

2017-2018 Yearbooks are now on sale!  Personalized orders are due by February 28, 2018, so make sure you order that now to get your unique yearbook in June!

All yearbook orders must be submitted by May 18, 2018, in order to lock in the low price of $35 (for the yearbook only, personalization is extra) and to make sure you have a pre-ordered yearbook just for you!

After May 18, yearbooks will be sold at a first come, first serve basis when they are sold in June, at a price of $40.

Fall Book Fair Is Here!!

The Scholastic Book Fair is here! There are lots of great, NEW books for everyone! Take off on an adventure, make new friends, laugh your head off! Visit the Book Fair in the Library Conference Room from November 16th – November 29th!  We will also be open during Parent Teacher Conferences on Friday, November 17th, until 4:15 pm.

Don’t have time to stop  in?  You can also shop online!  Click here to access our online shopping site and get your new treasures sent directly to school after November 25th.  Online shopping is open from Nov. 16 – Nov. 24 only!

Make-Up Picture Day

Make-up picture day for JYMS is scheduled for:

Thursday, December 7, 2017.

This is the last chance to have your picture taken for the yearbook if you did not have it taken yet this school year.

Re-take pictures are only for people who have purchased pictures and want to re-take it.  The unwanted pictures must be turned in to the photographer on that day.

If you want to order pictures for the first time you can do so by turning in a completed order form to the photographer or the receipt from purchasing them online.

Parent-Teacher Conferences this Friday, November 17

ParentTeacher Conference will be held this Friday, November 17, 2017, from 12:15pm – 4:15pm.  Students will be released at 11:25 and lunch will be served for students.

Community Service can start in middle school!

The community service handbook has been revised to allow middle school students to earn hours towards graduation.
Students may now begin earning Community Service  Requirement (CSR) hours the summer after successfully completing Grade 5.  You can contact the Guidance Office for any further information.

 

 

Community Service activities are non-curricular based opportunities that engage students in authentic and meaningful service to their communities.

Chargers kept on rolling through a Power Outage

John Yeates lost power today for a about two hours.

Lunches were still provided to students during that time.

The power came back on around 11:10 a.m. and the schedule resumed as normal.
